February 19, 2012 Good Vs. Evil with Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert.

Oh my, it was awesome.  When we got to Grand Rapids we still had about 2 hours to kill, so we went in search of something to eat. First we decided on a tapas place, but the line was ridiculous so we walked down the street, couldn’t decide where to go, ended up at Tavern on the Sq.  The food was good, our waiter was horrible, he totally didn’t like us, he brought all the food at once, appetizers and entrees, didn’t bother to take away our menus until he brought the food, and just generally ignored us.

But when we got to DeVos, it didn’t matter, Bourdain and Ripert were hilarious. Listening to Anthony’s opinions on other Food Network chefs…I wish he would have talked about Sandra Lee, that would have been perfect. Eric talking about how he doesn’t like Gordon Ramsey but he really likes Guy Fieri. 

Then on the way home we almost ran out of gas on the highway, so that was interesting.
